Health and Safety

The protection of the health, safety and well‑being of individuals, as well as the safeguarding of their physical integrity, represents a fundamental value for the Group.

Respect for individuals and for the working environment in which they operate is considered a key factor and a strategic opportunity to support the Group’s development.

For this reason, the Group is continuously committed to defining processes and creating increasingly safe and healthy working environments, both for employees and for those who collaborate with the Group.

To make this commitment clear and visible to all employees and external stakeholders, the “Group Guidelines on Occupational Health and Safety” have been developed. These Guidelines define the principles of action and the objectives to be pursued, in order to ensure effective management and control of health and safety levels for all work activities that may involve potential risks to workers, suppliers, guests, visitors present at the Group’s sites, and other interested parties.

The implementation of these Guidelines is supported by the adoption of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).

  • Group Guidelines on Occupational Health and Safety

The Guidelines, adopted by the Parent Company Unipol Assicurazioni, apply to employees, contractors and suppliers operating within the Group Companies, by virtue of the Parent Company’s direction and coordination role towards the other Group Companies.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Management System

In consideration of the importance that the Unipol Group attaches to Occupational Health and Safety, an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) has been adopted and implemented since 2016. The system is currently aligned with the UNI EN ISO 45001:2023 standard and aims to provide the tools (procedures) necessary to effectively and efficiently manage the planning and execution of activities related to occupational health and safety.
In addition to ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the OHSMS represents a key tool for promoting the continuous improvement of health and safety performance through a structured and systematic approach.
