Unipol Group is proud to sponsor the 9th Sustainable Development Festival, which will be held from 7 to 23 May across Italy and online.

Each year, the festival raises awareness among an increasingly larger segment of the general public on the issues of economic, social and environmental sustainability, with the aim of spreading a culture of sustainability and bringing about cultural and political change that will allow Italy to implement the United Nations 2030 Agenda and achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The festival will be held in several stages, in particular:

•    7 May: the festival will open in Milan with a discussion on the transition of businesses and the production system toward sustainability;
•    9 May: the second stage at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa will focus on biodiversity;
•    13 May: the third stage in Venice will offer the occasion to talk about the fragility of local territories and climate change, as well as to reflect on the opportunities arising from long-term planning and issues related to the future;
•    15-16-17 May: the next stage will be held in Turin, as part of the Turin Book Fair, to reflect on the contribution of culture, communication and the media to the debate on sustainability and raising public awareness;
•    19 May: the festival will visit Bologna to discuss the issues of production chains and their impact on sustainable consumption and production;
•    21 May: the sixth stage of the festival will be held in Naples with a focus on the challenges for Southern Italy, including differentiated regional autonomy and service gaps, especially in the healthcare sector;
•    23 May: as usual the closing will take place in Rome, with the institutional presentation of the event’s results.

In addition to these main initiatives, like every year, hundreds of extra events will expand the rich programme of initiatives with conferences, workshops, book presentations, shows, and much more.

Sustainability Affects Us Closely.
