National Food Collection Day returns on Saturday, November 15th. This initiative, promoted by Fondazione Banco Alimentare (Food Bank), will allow people to purchase non-perishable foods to donate to those in need.

In more than 11,000 supermarkets throughout Italy, approximately 160,000 Food Bank volunteers, recognizable by their orange bibs, will be encouraging people to purchase shelf-stable products such as oil, canned vegetables and legumes, tomatoes, tuna and meat, and baby food.

All food being donated will be distributed to over 7,600 partner organizations affiliated with Banco Alimentare (soup kitchens, family homes, communities for minors, counselling centres, street units, etc.), which provide support for over 1,700,000 people.

From November 15th to December 1st, you may also donate groceries online on several dedicated platforms. To learn about the various ways to purchase products and the participating stores, please visit www.bancoalimentare.it.
