From 16 October 2025 to 24 January 2026, the two Bologna locations of the Unipol Group’s Corporate Museum CUBO are proud to host the exhibition “Beverly Pepper. Space Outside”, an in-depth exploration of one of the most important artists of contemporary sculpture through thirty-six works featuring sculptures, sketches, drawings, watercolours and sketchbooks, as well as a rich iconographic collection of photos and videos.
The exhibition curated by Ilaria Bignotti and Marco Tonelli was created in collaboration with the Beverly Pepper Projects Foundation of Todi.
With a body of work spanning from 1965 to 2018, the exhibition focuses on topical issues such as the relationship between art, environment, memory and community, considered central to the artist's work.
The narrative core of the exhibition consists of two monumental sculptures, which form part of the Unipol Group’s artistic heritage: Prisms (1967-1968) and Virgo Rectangle Twist (1967). Two works that marked a turning point in the language of Beverly Pepper: through these creations, the artist started conceiving public works as an origin and driving force of inclusion, involvement, sharing and a place of experience.
