Identity in the age of Metaverse
The Unipol Group’s corporate museum CUBO is proud to inaugurate the eighth edition of das – dialoghi artistici sperimentali (experimental artistic dialogues), a project dedicated to contemporary languages and different generations of media artists.
UNI, DOUBLE, COLLECTIVE – Identity in the age of Metaverse, curated by Federica Patti and Claudio Musso, sees the artists LaTurbo Avedon, Auriea Harvey, Kamilia Kard and Mara Oscar Cassiani personally involved in leading the audience along a changing path of declination of the self in the era of the Metaverse.
The exhibition explores identity as a balance between unity (UNI), complexity (DOUBLE) and relationship (COLLECTIVE), offering a space to reflect on the interaction between self and others in the digital universe.
Kamilia Kard, Auriea Harvey, LaTurbo Avedon and Mara Oscar Cassiani - internationally renowned artists who will present original works at the Bologna exhibition along with other works already shown at major exhibitions in recent years - intend to engage the public in a network of activities that will enliven the exhibition until the end of May, with workshops, live shows, meetings and talks.
Through a multifaceted series of events and formats, the artists address themes that have always fascinated humankind, with a focus on some of the most pressing issues today: self-construction and representation, individuality and the creation of communities online, digital liveness, toxic online relationships, and the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence.
The exhibition project is accompanied by a programme of in-depth meetings and shows as part of the Art City Bologna weekend organised to celebrate Arte Fiera.
