The Sustainability Policy, approved by the Board of Directors at the beginning of 2018, formalised the corporate culture standards, behavioural styles and goals of the Unipol Group.
The Policy defines the Group strategies, targets and commitments to improve its sustainability results and manage and reduce the “ESG” (Environmental, Social and Governance) risks that it is exposed to, including the governance of risks, opportunities and climate-related impacts, in accordance with the overall Group risk management system; it also specifies the roles and responsibilities of the corporate bodies and structures involved in the ESG risk management process.
The Sustainability Policy, inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals and Global Compact principles, commits the company in the following areas:

Protection of human and labour rights

Equal opportunities

Environmental protection and combating climate change

Honesty and transparency towards consumers

Responsible data management

Honest business practices, with special attention towards lobbying and tax strategy practices

The integration of sustainability into the business
